Mattely — Privacy Policy

Mattely never sends your images anywhere. Everything happens on your computer. We have no servers, you need no account, and nothing is uploaded — not even for “processing”.
1. What we collect: nothing
Mattely makes no network requests at all. This isn’t a promise, it’s how the app is built — and it is verified by an automated test that fails the build if any network call appears in the code.

- No image upload — ever
2. What stays on your computer

Temporary files stay in your system temp folder and are removed by Windows. You can delete them at any time.
3. How the background removal works
The AI models run on your own processor, from files installed with the app:
- U²-Net (Apache-2.0) — the fast preview model
- BiRefNet (MIT) — the full-quality model
Both are open-source models licensed for commercial use. There is no cloud service involved, no API key, and no per-image quota. Mattely works with your network cable unplugged.
4. Purchases
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by the Microsoft Store. We never see or store your payment details. Mattely only records whether the purchase happened.
5. Children
Mattely is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
6. Deleting your data
There is nothing of yours on our side to delete. On your machine:

7. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version ships with the app and the date above changes.
