EXIFMint — Privacy Policy

In short: EXIFMint does not collect anything. It does not connect to the internet. Your photos never leave your computer.

What EXIFMint does with your files

EXIFMint reads the photo files you point it at, in order to show you the metadata inside them and to write cleaned copies. That is all it does with them.

Reading. Files are read from disk only when you add them to the list.
Writing. Cleaned copies are written only to the output folder you choose.
Your originals are never modified. EXIFMint never writes to, moves, renames or deletes an original file.
Nothing is cached, indexed, or kept after the app is closed.

No network access

EXIFMint contains no networking code. It does not upload files, does not check for updates, does not load remote content, and does not contact any server — including ours. You can verify this by running it with your network disconnected; every feature works exactly the same.

No accounts, no telemetry

There is no sign-in, no account, and no licence server. EXIFMint collects no usage statistics, no crash reports, no device identifiers and no analytics of any kind.

Data we hold about you

None. We do not receive any data from the application, so there is nothing for us to store, share, sell or lose.

Included software

EXIFMint includes the exifr and piexifjs libraries (both MIT licensed). They ship inside the app package: nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed separately, and neither of them contacts a server.

Purchases

EXIFMint is sold through the Microsoft Store. Your purchase is handled entirely by Microsoft under their own terms and privacy policy; we never see your payment details. See Microsoft's privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Children

EXIFMint is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
